(9/29/2023) "There are 26,000 bottles of the 2020 Chateauneuf du Pape La Begude des Papes, a decent amount for a Chateauneuf of this quality. A blend of 70% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 12% Mourvedre and 3% Cinsault from the les Brusquieres lieu-dit, aged in a variety of vessels, including 10% new barriques, it reveals remarkable purity of fruit, with notes of cherries, black cherries and blackberries. It's full-bodied and supple, rich and powerful, with a long, reasonably elegant finish. Drink Date: 2022 - 2035."
