(5/2021) Sourced from ten hand-picked sites, Curt Schalchlin's "The Offering" is everything you could want in a modern-styled Grenache, Mourvedre, Syrah blend. This flagship bottling announces its presence loudly with scents of plump blackberries, black cherry, cinnamon bark, graphite, white pepper and cocoa dust. You'd think that such an incredibly diverse nose would be as good as it gets, but the true greatness is on the palate. That's where fresh cedar, red fruit and green olives mingle on the lush, dense, oh-so-silky body. Finely tuned tannins make for a mesmerizing finish. Good when first popped, this will get even better as it has time to open up. You'll be thinking about this one for days!
