(10/30/2022) "The furthest west of Alto Piemonte's denominations, Lessona's vineyards are based on pure marine sand giving elegant, midweight Nebbiolo. Paolo de Marchi (of Isole e Olena fame) and son Luca have made wine here since 2002 after recovering their historic family property. The 2015 offers wondrously fragrant rosehip, wet pine and rooibos with hints of orange, then floral nuances. The buoyant palate is driven by linear acidity, while pomegranate flavour dissolves into silky fine-grained tannins and ends with an energising, saline finish. Drinking Window: 2023 - 2032."
