(3/2023) We were smitten with this delicious, overperformingm ripe-vintage Brouilly from first sniff! Third generation producer Jonathan Buisson took the reins at the Domaine in just 2017, but is doing wonderful work in the realm of natural wines starting with agroecology and regenerative farming. This site is rich in blue schist soils, which blasts some tension and lift to the wonderfully full fruit from this torrid vintage. Whole bunches see semi-carbonic maceration, are gently pressed to cement where fermentation occurs with native yeasts before a lengthy 14 month rearing in old foudres before bottling with minimal sulfur. Irresistible, it's full of beguiling red fruit, fresh and dry herb and vibrancy. One of the best Brouilly you will ever find.
