(8/2023) From 2.5 hectares of 35-year-old vines in sandy soils, brothers Jules and Louis Gasparri craft a vivid, textbook Cotes-du-Rhone from 50% Grenache, 40% Syrah and 10% Marselan fermented in concrete. This is a small-batch production from a quality Chateauneuf-du-Pape grower, and it provides amazing bang for the buck. Spiced plum, raspberry and garrigue front-load the spicy palate which lingers with pomegranate and loads of black pepper across a long, satisfying finale.
