Alsatian red wine is a rare bird. With only 10% of Alsatian wine production being Pinot Noir, it's not always easy to find. This unique example was macerated for 32 days, using only indigenous yeast, further seeing eleven months of aging in old foudre, imparting very minimal wood flavors. Delicious and supple, it is an elegant interpretation of this famous grape. A blissful mix of blackberry and raspberry is followed by notes of forest floor. Structured yet approachable, the limestone soil imparted minerality carries through an out-of-this-world finish -- fine, delicate tannins leave a soft, lingering memory of this ethereal Pinot.
